Bhumi Pednekar joins Akshay Kumar in Aanand L Rai’s Raksha Bandhan

Akshay Kumar took to social media to welcome Bhumi Pednekar to the team of Raksha Bandhan. The upcoming film will be directed by Aanand L Rai.

Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar will star in in Aanand L Rai’s Raksha Bandhan.

Bhumi Pednekar will be seen alongside Akshay Kumar in the upcoming film Raksha Bandhan. A directorial venture of Aanand L Rai, Akshay took to social media to welcome Bhumi to the team. He shared a delightful picture featuring them with director Aanand. Bhumi also expressed her happiness in joining the film on her Instagram page.


Akshay Kumar shared a striking photo with Bhumi Pednekar and Aanand L Rai and expressed his excitement for the film. Akshay and Bhumi have starred together earlier in Toilet-Ek Prem Katha.

Sharing the happy picture, Akshay Kumar wrote, “When you are happy, it shows And indeed we areto have @bhumipednekar onboard #RakshaBandhan @aanandlrai #HimanshuSharma @cypplofficial @zeestudiosofficial #CapeOfGoodFilms #AlkaHiranandani @kanika.d #SirfBehneDetiHai100PercentReturn (sic).”


Bhumi Pednekar also shared the same picture on Instagram and called Akshay Kumar and Aanand L Rai creative powerhouses. “A very special film & a very special reunion. Am supremely excited to be collaborating again with two of my favourite creative powerhouses & humans. Am full of gratitude to be a part of this special, heart-touching story #RakshaBandhan (sic),” she wrote.


Akshay Kumar had announced the film on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan last year. As the name suggests, it’s based on the special bond between a brother and a sister. In his announcement, Akshay had mentioned that he signed the film immediately after reading its script. He also dedicated the film to his sister Alka Bhatia.
