Varalaxmi Sarathkumar will play one of the lead roles in director Gopichandh Malineni’s upcoming film with Balakrishna. The film is a mass commercial entertainer.

Varalaxmi Sarathkumar has been roped in to play one of the lead roles in director Gopichadh Malineni’s upcoming film starring Nandamuri Balakrishna AKA Balayya. According to reports, she will play a powerful role in the film. Produced by Mythri Movie Maker, the commercial entertainer has an interesting script based on true events. The rest of the cast and crew will be finalised soon.


Varalaxmi Sarathkumar worked with director Gopichandh Malineni in Ravi Teja and Shruti Haasan-starrer Krack. After the film’s success, the filmmaker has decided to work with Varalaxmi yet again in his next film featuring Nandamuri Balakrishna.

The shooting of this untitled film will begin once the Telangana government lifts lockdown and allows television and film shooting. Gopichandh Malineni and his team are finalising the rest of the cast and crew, which will be announced in the coming weeks.


On the occasion of Balayya’s 61st birthday, the makers of his upcoming film released the announcement teaser. Taking to Twitter, he wrote, “Happy birthday to balaiah babu garu…eagerly waiting to meet you on sets soon feel the roar in live. #NBK107 @MythriOfficial @MusicThaman #HappyBirthdayNBK (sic).”

Apart from this untitled film, Balayya has Akhanda with director Boyapati Srinu. Ahead of his birthday, the makers of Akhanda released a special poster to celebrate the day. Akhanda is expected to hit the theatres later this year. An official announcement regarding the same will be out soon.
